Together, we are facing a truly unprecedented situation. The global coronavirus pandemic is affecting our families, businesses, communities, our NHS and way of life. During this time, I wanted to reach out and update you on how we’re approaching the situation at UKWSL.
Firstly, our thoughts and prayers go out to anyone who has been impacted by the virus, directly or indirectly. Our thoughts are especially with those who are sick, to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery. And we’re truly inspired by the selfless healthcare workers of the NHS who are on the front lines working tirelessly to care for people in need.
We are supporting our communities through philanthropic donations to support our local communities where we live and work we are now hoping to extend this facility to you our valued customer base.
SupplierMatch will work through the use of our highly sophisticated network of suppliers and our own remote workforce. UKWSL is in a unique position with over 500 suppliers nationwide to help our customer base come together and support each other, their community, the NHS and charity organisations.
If any of our customers have excess food, PPE, hand sanitizer or over ordered stock items such as toilet paper or disinfectants, we will look to match up any items going to waste with the most appropriate outlet’s. For example, excess food stock from restaurants which is likely to go out of date during the crisis can be collected and delivered to local food banks. We would asses PPE and if it is up to code, get it to NHS hospitals and care homes. UKWSL would then arrange the collection and delivery of these items using our decentralised workforce and our extensive supply chain of logistic partners.
Not all donations have to be philanthropic, you may have ordered excess hand sanitizer before lockdown, and now your sites or stores are empty with this stock not going to use, UKWSL have many customers requiring hand sanitizer, we could look to reroute this from your sites to the appropriate customer with priority given to key industries and their workers, these services would be offered at cost.
If you are aware of other opportunities for us to help others with our supply chain, please let me know at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07887 499003 we are here to help.
We have a fantastic team across the UKWSL family that is here for you. This moment reminds us that we’re all connected like never before. We’re called upon to be our best selves, with patience, understanding and compassion. UKWSL is committed to being your partner and working together to weather the challenges ahead.
As we go forward, we’ll be sure to keep you updated, and know that we always value your questions, ideas, feedback and support.
