UKWSL has extended its contract with Roadchef, the motorway services operator.
UKWSL will be in charge of waste and recycling services at 22 Roadchef sites for another five years, in a contract worth £4.5 million over the period.
The two companies began working together in 2015. UKWSL said there had been an enormous reduction in the use of on-site compactor machines since then, and that in the past five months it had helped Roadchef to cut spending by £50,000 – its target for the whole year.
Max Kanda, managing director of UKWSL, said that the company had an ambitious plan to further increase Roadchef’s recycling rates and reduce its waste to landfill.
“Our working relationship has been exemplary to date and we feel confident that this collaborative approach will serve us well as we expand the range of services we provide.”
UKWSL serves customers across a range of sectors including transport, retail, healthcare and manufacturing.
