  • What does my skip hire include?+ Click to open

    Skip hire will include the cost of the skip hire, any transport costs, and any disposal of waste. Permits, if needed, are chargeable separately.

  • Do I require a permit?+ Click to open

    If you are placing your skip on a driveway or private land then you will not need a permit. However, if you are placing your skip on council land or a road/pavement then you will require a permit from the local council.

  • Can I receive a skip without a permit?+ Click to open

    Unfortunately, without a permit no skip can be delivered onto council property, or onto a road/pavement.

  • How much will a permit cost and how long does it take?+ Click to open

    These can vary in price depending on your local council. If you are unsure we can arrange this for you, call us on 01636 640744. Gaining a permit can take up to 7 days.

  • How long can I keep my skip?+ Click to open

    Typically, skip hire will be up to 14 days. If you require longer please let us know and we can arrange this for you.

  • What size skip do I need?+ Click to open

    There are varying skip sizes to fit whatever needs you may have. They range from a mini 4yrd to a large 12yrd. Click here for an idea of what you may fit into the different sizes.

  • How full can I fill my skip?+ Click to open

    Skips can be filled to the top of the skip or to the line indicated on the skip itself, if the skip is overfilled then it may not be collected or further charges may be applied. We suggest that you go for a larger skip if you think you may go over, as this will be cheaper than paying overweight charges.

  • What can I put into my skip?+ Click to open

    There are certain waste types that are classed as hazardous and will not be allowed. If these are found in the skip, it may not be collected or you may be charged additional fees for disposal. Below are some items that must not be placed in a skip.

    Acids, Aerosols, Animal/Pet waste, Asbestos, Batteries, Biological waste, Clinical/Medical Waste, Corrosive Liquid, Electrical Items, Explosives/Fireworks, Fluorescent Tubes and bulbs, Food waste, Gas bottles, Hazardous/Toxic waste, Laboratory Waste, Liquids, Oil, Petrol/Diesel, Paint/Paint tins, Tyres, Solvents, Mattresses.

  • What happens to my waste?+ Click to open

    We do our best to ensure all our waste carriers recycle as much as possible and all waste is treated at an authorised treatment facility.

  • How quickly can I get my skip delivered?+ Click to open

    If you book online before 11am Monday to Friday, we can usually arrange your skip for next day delivery.  Bookings made after 11am on Friday would be delivered on the following Monday.

  • When will my skip be collected?+ Click to open

    If your skip is ready for collection before the date you originally requested, just give us a call and we can arrange this for you. Usually this will take place within 2 working days.
