What we expect you to do:

As part of a busy Sales Team you are responsible for driving the business forward through securing new business through Telesales to existing and new SME customers.

You will manage a customer base and outwardly prospect for potential commercial opportunities, you will maintain and develop your sales pipeline and be able to report to the business progress that has been made.

You will proactively and reactively sell profitable new business to meet or exceed set sales targets.

You will work with your prospects throughout the sales process, ensuring that you have recognized their waste needs, so you are able to provide the appropriate commercial solutions.

You will provide quotes to your leads, paying close attention to all the commercial aspects that effect profitability.

You will consistently achieve or exceed KPI’s including new business revenue targets and weekly call targets.

As part of your role you will be required to provide supporting information, including statistics, pricing information and market knowledge as required to assist in the sales process.

Ensure that the system is kept up to date with sales activities, by accurate data entry and the management of daily activities and diary events

You will provide weekly/monthly sales reports on your personal performance and effectiveness.

The skills you will need are:

Decision making – you will be able to independently make difficult and strong decisions and be able to implement them quickly and effectively

Highly effective communication skills – you must listen well, ask good questions, build superb relationships, write clearly and talk with confidence, you need to have the ability to seek out information and pass it on appropriately throughout the business

Numerical ability – you will be able to analyse data, calculate pricing ensuring that margin is in line or exceeds target expectations and have the ability to provide financial reporting when required.

Efficient organisation – you will need to work quickly and accurately with a strong eye for detail, so that your customers always get a good high-quality service

Efficient time management – to be able to manage your own workload through effective time management

Confident and capable IT skills – you will be using Microsoft Office, you need to have a good level of competence, being able to operate with confidence and without supervision. You must be able to present information quickly and clearly having the ability to use all the basic functions well

Fantastic relationship builder – you will have the ability to build strong relationships, with our network of suppliers and the departments that you will work with specifically, Accounts, Logistics and Supply Chain

Great Customer Care – To be creative, focused and close to your customers driving excellence through customer care

Make Change – the ability to be analytical and to deliver change through your analysis

Negotiation – you must use your integrity and assertiveness to achieve a sustainable working relationship for UKWSL and our partners

Quick thinking – you need to have the ability to think rapidly, clearly and decisively when under pressure

Understanding the business – be able to learn, interpret and understand the business, the industry and the changing needs

You will have:

The ability to demonstrate a successful track record in telesales

A working knowledge of H&S regulations and UK Waste Legislation

Been a key player in effective team

Achieved GCSE Grade C in Math’s & English

Intermediate level IT skills, being able to use Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Pride in your role and will be well presented, eloquent and professional

Having the ability to drive and motivate yourself, you will be results-orientated with a positive outlook and clear focus on high quality customer service and business profit

The ability to forward plan and be able to critically analyse your own performance

The ability to work under pressure and to strict targets and deadlines

Working hours are: 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday
