What we expect you to do
The Senior Telesales Executive will provide strong leadership to the Telesales Team and will work with the Head of Sales to develop monthly and annual sales targets for the department, taking overall responsibility for the department’s performance against targets.
As Senior of the Telesales Team you are responsible for driving the team forward, by individually motivating and empowering your team to securing new business through existing and new SME customers.
You will manage a customer base and outwardly prospect for potential commercial opportunities, you will maintain and develop your sales pipeline and be able to report to the business progress that has been made.
You will proactively and reactively sell profitable new business to meet or exceed set sales targets.
You will work with your prospects throughout the sales process, ensuring that you have recognised their waste needs, so you are able to provide the appropriate commercial solutions.
You will provide quotes to your leads, paying close attention to all the commercial aspects that effect profitability.
You will make quality appointments for the Corporate Development Managers.
You and your team will consistently achieve or exceed KPI’s including new business revenue targets and weekly call targets. You will be required to provide weekly/monthly sales reports on your personal performance and effectiveness
Ensure that the Sales Database is kept up to date with sales activities, by accurate data entry and the management of daily activities and diary events.
Empower, lead and motivate your team by supporting, advising and continually training each team member to ensure that your team provides outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
Conduct monthly one to ones and team meetings to support team members and identify and implement training for any learning and development needs that are highlighted.
Prepare an informative & useful departmental monthly report by the set deadline for the Head of Sales.
Represent your department in internal and external meetings, showing an understanding of the needs of the customer, your department and the business as a whole.
Monitor the success of the department, through departmental KPI’s, work with your team to ensure that the KPI’s deliver outstanding customer service, improve team performance and use them to implement strategies to improve the effectiveness of the team & individual performance.

Highly effective communication skills – you must listen well, ask good questions, build superb relationships, write clearly and talk with confidence, you need to have the ability to seek out information and pass it on appropriately throughout the business
Numerical ability – you will be able to analyse data, calculate pricing ensuring that margin is in line or exceeds target expectations and have the ability to provide financial reporting when required.
Efficient organisation – you will need to work quickly and accurately with a strong eye for detail, so that your customers always get a good high-quality service
Efficient time management – to be able to manage your own workload through effective time management
Confident and capable IT skills – you will be using Microsoft Office, you need to have a good level of competence, being able to operate with confidence and without supervision. You must be able to present information quickly and clearly having the ability to use all the basic functions well
Fantastic relationship builder – you will have the ability to build strong relationships, with our network of suppliers and the departments that you will work with specifically, Accounts, Logistics and Supply Chain
Great Customer Care – To be creative, focused and close to your customers driving excellence through customer care
Make Change – the ability to be analytical and to deliver change through your analysis
Negotiation – you must use your integrity and assertiveness to achieve a sustainable working relationship for UKWSL and our partners

Understanding the business – be able to learn, interpret and understand the business, the industry and the changing needs
You will have:
The ability to demonstrate a successful track record in regional sales positions
A working knowledge of H&S regulations and UK Waste Legislation
Been a key player in effective team
Achieved GCSE Grade C in Math’s & English
Intermediate level IT skills, being able to use Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Pride in your role and will be well presented, eloquent and professional
Having the ability to drive and motivate yourself, you will be results-orientated with a positive outlook and clear focus on high quality customer service and business profit
The ability to forward plan and be able to critically analyse your own performance
The ability to work under pressure and to strict targets and deadlines

Working hours are: 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday, the option to work flexi-time is available with this role
